Okay, I'm just going to write a little bit, because I haven't taken any pictures of anything yet, and I'd like my first real post to have awesome visuals.
Anyway, I first want to start off by saying I am SAFE. The "hurricane" was nothing to worry about and everything was fine. The only effect it had on me was delaying my move in day to the 29th (as opposed to the 28th). With that being said, I am officially moved in to my dorm, Brittany Hall! My room is actually pretty large and has a good view! The only drawback to Brittany is that we don't have a dining hall in the building, so in order to use my meal plan, I have to be at another location on campus that accepts meal plans. Which, in reality, isn't too bad. Especially when I'll be out and about on campus most days, anyway. Except during winter when I don't have class. I'll just have to cross that bridge when I come to it. Okay, so back to my room. I share a room with two other girls, Francesca and Micaela. They are very chill and we get along well! Basically, for the last few days I have just been setting up my room, organizing everything, and hanging out with them. I've had a few sessions of orientation and have been able to explore quite a bit, which is exciting! Things are definitely falling together nicely so far! And I am happy to report that I ABSOLUTELY LOVE NEW YORK CITY! More specifically, The Village. (:
However, aside from the hustle and bustle of getting settled, there is really nothing to say. I mean, I've discovered a few places, seen a few sights, and eaten some food. But nothing too much has happened yet. So, I suppose for now, I'll just let you all know that I'm safe. I love NYU. I love Tisch. I love my dorm. I love my roommates. I love New York. And I am so excited and happy to be here!
Until next time!
Wait, I have a question - So, do you like New York? :)
